What happens if I send a BIOWRAP encrypted file to someone not familiar with BIOWRAP?

The BIOWRAP file extension, .BMS, is recognized by all major file extension registries. Individuals in receipt of a BIOWRAP encrypted file that do not already have access to the BIOWRAP Reader will be directed to a dedicated secure website (https://mybiowrap.com) for registration and simplified access to the encrypted file.

Can I open a BIOWRAP file even if I forgot the password?

Yes and depends. Built-in key recovery allows Readers that do not meet the access requirements (or even if they lost the password) to still gain immediate access to the encrypted file. The 'Request Access' feature delivers a real-time request to creator of the encrypted file to be approved or rejected. You will not be able to open the encrypted file until you receive approval and only if you receive approval.
